Champagne Fondant Wedding Cake September 27, 2010

This wedding cake was a very simple but elegant cake.  It was a 14″, 10″, and 6″ tiered cake with 3 different flavors (Red Velvet Cake, Strawberry Cake, and White Cake all with Cream Cheese Icing).  It was covered in a champagne colored fondant with an Expresso colored ribbon border and fresh flowers for the topper.  For this cake I was actually able to set-up and decorate the cake table myself!  The table had 3 glass blocks with lights inside them and were covered with champagne colored tulle.  Then a large glass top was put on top of the blocks for the cake to sit on.  After the cake was set-up I placed the serving utensils, champagne glasses, and candles around the table.  I also made the flower topper with some beautiful roses to match the wedding reception flowers.

This groom’s cake was obviously for a Marine.  It was a 12″ chocolate cake with p-nut butter icing and fed approx 30 people.  The cake was covered in white fondant with a hand-made symbol and rope border.

1st Year Anniversary Cake

This cake was for a couples 1st anniversary.  They have a joke that they will be married 40 years so she decided to have a countdown every year on their cake!  It was an 8″ coconut cake with blueberry filling and butter cream icing.
