Dr Seuss Baby Shower Cake February 19, 2011

This cake was so fun to make and was hand painted to resemble the illustrations in the Dr Seuss book.  It was a 9″ vanilla cake and a 6″ strawberry cake with butter cream icing and marshmallow fondant that fed approx 35-40 people.

 

“Q&U” Wedding Cake

This was a wedding cake for a “Q&U” wedding for my son’s kindergarten class.  It was to remind them that Q&U are always together.

It was a 9″ and 6″ tiered cake that fed approx 35-40 people.  It was white cake with butter cream icing and daisies made from gumpaste.

 

Diamond Bow Anniversary Cake December 10, 2010

This cake was classy and perfect for an anniversary!  It was a 9″ and 6″ tiered white choc cake with butter cream icing that served approx 35 people.  The bottom tier had a butter cream filling and the top tier had a raspberry filling.  The bow on top was made from gumpaste and covered in edible sugar sparkles.

 

Green/Teal Bridal Shower Cake September 12, 2010

This cake was for a bridal shower and fed approx 25 people.  It was a 3-layer 8″ white chocolate cake with raspberry filling and butter cream icing.  The bows and “B” were made from fondant.

 

Rubber Ducky Baby Shower Cake June 12, 2010

This cute little cake was for a baby shower.  It was a 6″ white cake with butter cream icing and fed approx 10 people.  It was covered with marshmallow fondant and  marshmallow fondant balls to look like soap bubbles.  The rubber duck was an actual rubber duck brought to me by the client to put on top.

 

Baseball Themed Baby Shower Cake June 6, 2010

This cake was for a friends baby shower that was designed around the nursery’s theme, Baseball!  It was a 10″ white cake with butter cream icing and a 3D baseball cake with butter cream icing and fed approx 38 people.  Both cakes were covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant and the pregnant momma on top was made from fondant/gumpaste and hand painted to resemble the mother-to-be in a Dodgers uniform.

 

Festive Graduation Tiered Sheet Cake

This cake was for a big graduation party with lots of family and friends, so they needed lots of cake!  This was a 12X18″ sheet cake topped with a 11X14″ sheet cake and fed approx 120 people.  The large sheet cake was white cake w/strawberry glaze filling and the smaller sheet cake was chocolate cake w/raspberry filling.  They were iced and decorated with butter cream icing and the graduation cap was made of fondant.

 

Teal/Green/Yellow Baby Shower Cake April 15, 2010

This cake was a baby shower cake for a mother-to-be that didn’t yet know the gender of her baby, so we went with somewhat neutral colors.  It was a 6″ and 4″ tiered cake that fed approx 15 people. The bottom tier was white choc cake w/raspberry filling and white choc butter cream and the top tier was white cake with butter cream icing.  It was covered in marshmallow fondant and the accessories on the top tier were made from fondant and gumpaste.

 

Baby Shower Elephant Cake April 11, 2010

This was a baby shower cake for a set of  twins.  The cake was a 6″ strawberry cake with cream cheese icing and the mini cupcakes were white cake with butter cream icing.  The cake was covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant and the mini cupcakes had silver sugar sprinkles and fondant polka dots.

 

Gift Box Cake April 3, 2010

This cake was for a bridal shower, so I thought a gift box cake would fit perfectly with the occasion.  It was an 8″ square tier and a 6″ circle tier that fed approx 30 people.  The bottom tier was white chocolate cake w/raspberry filling and the top tier was dark chocolate cake.  The cake was covered in marshmallow fondant and the bow and gift box top were made from fondant/gumpaste.
