This cake was for my son’s 4th birthday. He couldn’t decide between Lightening McQueen and Thomas the Train so we designed the cake with both of his favorite things included. The bottom tier was a 9″ chocolate cake with butter cream icing and the top tier was a 6″ vanilla cake with butter cream icing and fed approx 35 people. The cake was covered in marshmallow fondant and then decorated with royal icing and modeling chocolate. The trains and car were made from modeling chocolate and the details were painted on with royal icing. It was a big hit with my son!!
